i’m back… for a short while

so, someone mentioned that I haven’t been updating my blog.

*guilty as charged!*

but I wasn’t exactly busy. lazy should be the word.

but I do have a new ‘hobby’ currently – looking to fulfill one of my new year resolution, that is, to buy my own apartment.

so, I’ve been working out my finances (but am pretty much still confused) and also doing some research on condos. it’s a horrible vicious cycle. one day I will decide, ok, I ONLY want to consider condo A. next day I will decide, ok, I will only buy 3 room, because I do not want to move house in future, and need the extra space for my kids. The next day I will be thinking, can I really afford it? And then another day I will tell myself, maybe I should just settle for a HDB. Then, I will debate with myself and say it’s alright to pay a slight premium for condo facilities, afterall resale HDB are not cheap nowadays. Then in order to solve the “i may not have enough money” problem, I considered getting a 2 room instead. Then the next day, I will think 2 room is too small. Then worse still, after insisting that I only want condo A for the longest time, I suddenly heard all sorts of negative remarks about condo A, which led me to include condo B in my list. And now, I won’t even consider 2 room, because condo B has the option of 2+1 room! and then I worry about not being able to finance the apartment in future, in case I got retrenched.

So many worries, so many considerations, so confusing.

Yep, so every SINGLE day, I am obsessing about condos.

Dearest has done his part by bringing me to both condo A & B to take a look at the site.
So, the next step is to start looking for agents to find out about the specific units and prices.

It’s so difficult to decide, when both condo A and B are quite different.
A: 99 leasehold, very convenient location but the entire facility is a little crammed, 2 room cost about $700K and 3 room cost about $800K
B: freehold, inconvenient location unless driving (even then traffic is a little congested) but entire facility is more spacious than A, 2+1 room cost about $630K and 3 room cost about $730K

How? Dilemma…
