alrighty… an update on our trip to genting, as promised.
advanced warning: lots of pictures!
*pls wait for the pictures to download*

we arrived at genting around 2.30pm, after lots of sleep on the long coach ride. dearest didn’t sleep the night before so he actually slept all the way from SG to genting! so we reached and had to queue to arrange for hotel check-in.
first world hotel – where we stayed for 2 nights.
we spent the afternoon romping around the hotels and shopping areas. thought can buy some lovely shoes and clothes but ended up with nothing. i guess sheena and jackson are pretty bored. then it was evening time and we went to this place called mushroom farm, where the main attraction is not mushrooms, but rather good and cheap chinese food.
so yeah, we had sizzling tofu, french beans, pork and african fish! haha… dunno where the fish is from lar, but that’s what they call it. all these and 2 bottles of carlsberg for RM111.80! which converts to S$47 for pax. S$12 each – is that cheap or what? we swear we’re going to eat this again the next day.

took some pictures while waiting for the free ’shuttle bus’ to take us back to first world. it gets really cold at night! which explains why we were hugging each other in all the pictures!
after dinner, we headed for the casino! played french boule – a game which dearest and i were hooked on the last time we were at genting. unfortunately, this time round lady luck wasn’t with us and we lost money.
then we went to coffee bean for a cold coffee in the cold weather, sitting in cold smokey fog. woooo….. shiok!
day 2 – early morning at 7.30am. see how stoned dearest look? haha. we were at the lift lobby waiting for sheena and jackson. it’s a day of theme park, so we got up early, suffered the coldness and bathed, wanting to head to the theme park early.
started with silly children rides.

then took some silly and lame, ultra-tourisy pictures
the brave couple was ready to conquer the corkscrew roller coaster. the last time i went on it with my sister several years ago, i was so terrified i actually teared. haha. so no more roller coasters for me.
we went for a boat ride. was supposed to be a leisurely cruise, enjoying the weather and relaxing. but the pampered ladies let the poor guys do all the work of paddling and so the ride was ended quickly because their poor calves can no longer take it. haha… we took pictures of each other using our cameras, so i only have pictures of sheena and jackson to share – mine and dearest’s pictures are still with them.
and when we get bored, we go for food! 4 of us bought 1 tiny piece of grilled sweet potato to share. and ended up taking silly pictures! haha… cute or not?
then dearest went to buy ice cream. having ice cream in the cold feels great!
this is the bumper boat. all of us love this a lot. you just turn round and round in the water and attempt to bump others and make them all wet. with the exception of the picture of dearest, which was taken by me, the rest of the pictures were taken by dearest. so there he was, trying to maneuver towards us to take decent pictures, but ended up being bumped by sheena, with lots of water splashed onto his face! hahahaha…
ok, this horrible looking ride. i forgot the name of the ride but it basically goes up and down really quickly, at great heights. as usual dearest and i were too chicken to try it and the dare devils went ahead instead. according to them, it was so fun, and probably the least scary one among the thrill rides. hmm… frankly i don’t believe. hahahaha… how can it be? anyway, i wouldn’t dare try. chicken chicken chicken…
my love attempting a 鬼遮眼. i’m terrified or this too! it took me a lot of courage to let go of my hands and hold them up in the air. oh dear, what happened to all my guts?

more tourisy pictures

we took these pictures on board the big red bus. there’s more silly group pictures. will put them up once i get them from sheena.
we spent like half a day at the theme park, and kinda got bored with it even though we didn’t try all the rides. went to grab a simple lunch and headed back to the hotel for a short nap. recharge for the night! because we were going to the casino again to 大开杀戒!
sheena taught us some ‘tricks’ (nothing illegal hor! not cheating) to bring luck at the casino. and it works! 2nd night at casino was profitable. haha…
but we know our limits. so we didn’t play for a very long time. instead we took a break and went to catch the match between liverpool and stoke city. the match was screened at an auditorium kinda place. the atmosphere was pretty good, with liverpool fans cheering away. too bad the score didn’t justify the efforts which the liverpool players put in.
after soccer, it was casino again. oops… do we sound like gamblers by now.
guess what we did on the last day?
yeah right. spent our last couple of hours making money… in the casino. haha… the guys didn’t have much luck but the gals were doing great! sheena has got a sugar daddy, sugar mummy and sugar brother – strangers who placed bets on her cards consistently and won like 20 games in a row. sugar daddy even tipped her! RM25. but she ‘helped’ him win like RM4000! both of us also combined powers and won like RM150 together.

and finally, the short holiday has got to come to an end. picture taken while waiting for the coach.
i miss genting. miss the weather. miss sleeping next to dearest, snuggling beside him to keep warm. miss waking up next to dearest early in the morning in a freezing room. miss the good and cheap food at mushroom farm. miss the relaxed feeling. miss chilling (literally) at coffee bean. miss not feeling the urgency or need to check the time (i didn’t wear any watch there!). miss winning at card games and watching the chips grow vertically. miss the laughter with sheena and jackson. miss taking silly pictures. miss travelling. miss taking leave from work.
oh, how i miss genting.
dearest, can we go genting once like every quarter? or every 6 months? heee…. plss….
