diamonds & watches

2 nights ago, i had a dream.

i dreamt that my mum & i went to shop for diamonds – for my engagement ring.

in the real world, i admit i’ve been researching on diamonds. but that was a few weeks ago, not these few days. i’ve decided and also shared with some friends, dearest included, that a 0.34 – 0.4+ carat diamond will be enough to make me a happy gal. some friends, on the other hand thinks at least 0.8 to 1 is the minimum.

so back to my dream – i was choosing from a pile of loose diamonds… and declared to my mum i like this 0.4 carat one. and my mum shot me a lethal look with disdain. she said: “it must be at least 0.5!”

so… sorry dearest… guess you’ll have to increase your savings… LOL.

but i’m sure you are most willing to do that right? because you love me so much.

to prove that dearest loves me a lot, he gave me a surprise last night! he bought me a watch as a belated v day present!

so lovely! dearest remembers that i liked the watch which he bought for his sister last year, and he bought something similar (actually on the strap is the same but i really love the strap!) to make me happy!

where to find such a thoughtful and wondrous boyfriend??

dream in action

sunday night. dozed off while watching late night taiwanese show.
in my dream, i was playing badminton.

a few passes to and fro… and i woke up suddenly.

was awaken by the movement of my hand.
i dreamt that i did a smack and my right arm actually made the motion in real life.

i was startled and amused.

LOL.

i had a (bad) dream

it was a long dream. and as dreams are usually, there’s a series of disconnected events happening. this particular happening woke me up.

around 300 metres away from a flight of stairs, i turned around to see someone trying to help my wheelchair bound mummy down the stairs. in a split second, whoever it was tipped the wheelchair over too much, and i saw my mum being flung out of the wheelchair and tumbling down the stairs helplessly. when she reached the floor landing, she was rolling around uncontrollably in pain. i find myself running towards her and screaming “mummy”.

and as how my running dreams usually are, the legs felt like stone and each step was painfully slow.

suddenly, i realised that i was dreaming (while still in my dream), and much as i usually enjoyed dreams of my mummy, i forced myself to wake up from this bad dream.

and i was successful.
woke up with a pounding heart and couldn’t get back to sleep after that.
mummy has suffered enough. she shouldn’t be suffering in my dreams.

the usual one on weekends

20th June Friday

• dearest picked me up from aloha loyang and we headed to… make a guess? bedok reservoir!
• met up with sheena & jackson for night jogging
• again, completed 4.3km. to date: 8.6km!
• went to loyang tua pek kong after that (haha… do you find it strange? strangely, 4 of us have similar habits)
• headed to changi village for nasi lemak (ya, what a waste right, after the jog)

 

21st June Saturday

• awoken by dearest again… with lovely nasi lemak (again!!!! just hours after the midnight supper)
• caught a mild cold and went back to bed after some medication and dearest left for work
• awoken by dearest again… asking whether i wan to join him and javier for a hair cut
• went back to nap
• awoken by dearest again… javier asked me to join them for dinner
• so we headed to geylang for frog porridge. yummy!
• and rochor beancurd after that!
• then dearest continued his rare ‘night-out’ with the boys at double-o
• me? i tucked in at 11.30pm… the medication made me really drowsy

 

22nd June Sunday

• didn’t sleep well. had a lot of dreams. one of which was about mummy. about how mummy doesn’t love me and kept criticising me. cried a lot in the dream, sobbing badly. until the extent that i actually felt real tears rolling from my eyes while i was still in the dream. very hard to explain – basically, i knew that i was dreaming, AND i knew that i am really crying in real life. was so hurtful… so painful
• so yeah, i slept for like 11 hours. but it was a bad sleep.
• dearest picked me up and we went shopping! serious techno shopping!
• total damage between both of us: S$2,195
• met up with sheena & jackson at lorong ah soo for yummy western food
• i like the sirloin steak! still felt hungry after finishing! damn… i’m really growing to be a glutton!
• then 4 of us went to topone and sang our hearts out till midnight.
• danny was out of town so i looked for another manager – $ manager. haha. he had no time to entertain me but he gave us a free fruit platter. sheena & jackson were pretty amazed with how they decorated the fruits. i was pretty amused by them – not the fruit but the couple. hahahaha…. oops…
• last stop for the day: supper! @ lavendar food centre. sua-ku me didn’t know that there is a 24hr food centre there! we had prawn noodles – as good as the siglap one! a new place to go for supper after topone in future. i wan to try the fishball noodles the next time.

 

so, yeah, that’s about it – my boring weekend!
